Aprile Sweers and her husband Greg reside in Brandon, FL where she serves as a teaching leader for Heart to Heart, a ministry of Bell Shoals Baptist Church designed to teach women how to develop a deeply personal relationship with God through the study of His Word. Her firm belief is that only God through His Word has the power to change women’s lives. This belief fuels her passion to devote herself to teaching. In a culture where experience is much more important than truth, Aprile challenges women to hold fast to the Scriptures as the only sure foundation on which to build an abundant, God-glorifying life.
Aprile received Christ as her personal Lord and Savior when she was 8 years old. A decade later, she taught her first Bible study to a group of ninth grade girls. Since then, God has expanded her audience to include women of all ages from youth to senior adults. Though Aprile’s primary teaching platform is in her local church where she teaches nearly 200 women each week, she does enjoy traveling and speaking to other groups of women as the Lord provides the opportunities. In addition to speaking in the United States, God has opened doors for Aprile to speak to women in Germany, England, and Africa.
Aprile possesses a BA in accounting from the University of South Florida and a MA in Christian Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Though Aprile is only 27 years old, she communicates the truths of God’s Word with a level of clarity, relevance, and authority well beyond her years. Her unique gift for teaching God’s Word and her passion for seeing women find complete, lasting satisfaction in Christ alone come together to form Aprile’s powerful and effective style of communication. Aprile’s deepest desire is to fulfill God’s calling on her life by being a devoted helpmate to her husband, a loving mother to her future children, and an uncompromising teacher of God’s Word to women of all ages. The cry of her heart is found in Psalm 71: “My mouth will tell of your righteousness, of your salvation all day long, though I know not its measure ... Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to this generation, your might to all who are to come.”
